Will New York City FC’s winless streak continue?
Last weekend, NYCFC held Real Salt Lake to a goalless draw in Utah.
This means they’ve drawn back-to-back matches 0-0 for the very first time, having played out a goalless game with New England a week earlier.
Overall, New York City are now without a victory in eight MLS matches, yielding a measly three points from these fixtures.
This leaves Nick Cushing’s team third bottom of the Eastern Conference, above only Chicago Fire and Inter Miami, leaving Cushing surely on the brink of losing his job.
Columbus Crew meanwhile come into this clash in the Bronx in terrific form, having won three on the spin, most-recently claiming a 2-1 victory in Chicago on Saturday.
Before this, Wilfried Nancy’s team had also enjoyed wins over Colorado and Charlotte, with the Crew climbing up to sixth in the east as a result.
