That though is all irrelevant because last Friday’s horror show in north Cambridgeshire have all but ended their promotion hopes.
Peterborough United actually finished 19 points below the Owls, beaten 1-0 in Owlerton two months ago.
Darren Ferguson’s side are targeting an immediate return to the Championship, although the Posh haven’t been promoted via play-offs since 2000, suffering defeats in 2011 and 2014 subsequently.
Can Sheffield Wednesday pull off an historic comeback at Hillsborough? Probably not, no.
