One of the more high-profile fixtures of the Europa League group stage’s opening round is set to play out at Ibrox on Thursday, September 21st.
The matchup in question will see Rangers act as hosts, in a meeting with Real Betis.
Beginning with the former, Rangers have endured an uncharacteristically hit-and-miss opening to the new season in Scotland.
All told, across their five outings to date, the Gers have racked up a trio of wins, to go along with a pair of defeats.
Most recently, in their return to action on the back of the international break, Michael Beale’s troops bounced back from a derby downing at the hands of arch rivals Celtic courtesy of a 2-0 triumph at St. Johnstone.
Danilo and Rabbi Matondo bagged the goals on the day.
In the tie’s home leg, though, the Light Blues proved that they remain a formidable opponent at Ibrox, in battling to a 2-2 stalemate.

Safe to say, then, that Real Betis will have their work cut out for them later this evening.
The Spanish outfit, like Rangers, have endured something of an underwhelming start to the term domestically, on their way to a record of two wins, two defeats, and a draw.
Such woes leave Betis sitting in a lowly 10th in the La Liga table.
Not only that, but their final preparations for Glasgow could not have gone much worse, as a trip to the Camp Nou to face Barcelona on Saturday ultimately culminated in a 5-0 drubbing.
So, all of this taken into consideration, how do we at 101 envision Thursday’s action playing out at Ibrox?
