Angers vs Monaco preview
Angers will play hosts to Monaco this weekend in Ligue 1 at the Raymond Kopa Stadium with the club once again on three-game losing run and already down and out in Ligue 1 just as the away side look to stamp their marker down on fourth.
Monaco have had their worst stint of form recently and witnessed their hopes of getting into the top three disappear with an eight-point gap on Lens after losing to them 3-0.
Monaco were then stunned in a 4-0 defeat to Montpellier at home in what was their worst result of the season. They now sit just two points ahead of Lille in fifth and only five above Rennes in sixth.
Angers are rock bottom of Ligue 1 ahead of this game, and they have lost to Clermont Foot, Paris Saint-Germain and Rennes in the past three games to keep them on 14 points.
It means they remain the worst side across Europe’s top five leagues this season. They did, however, stun Lille a month ago in a 1-0 win.
