Reims and Montpellier are sitting right by one another in the table ahead of the final game of the season with there being very little to play for but a bit of pride in the last match of the campaign.
Across all the games in Ligue 1 on the final gameweek, this one is arguably the least important, as both sides sit right next to each other in the table but with Montpellier unable to move any higher than their current spot of 12th.
Reims, however, can jump into the top 10 if they win here and see Lorient lose their game. They also have a much better goals difference, so a draw could be enough for Will Still’s men.
Reims are coming into this game without a win in the past three. They have lost to Lens and drawn with Angers in this time, while also losing to Lyon in the last outing.
Montpellier defeated Nantes 3-0 the other week but fell back to losing ways after a 3-2 home defeat to Nice. It does now mean just one win in the past month for the club.
