Will Poland leave Chișinău with three important points, as they battle to reach a fifth consecutive European Championships?
Fernando Santos began his reign as Poland manager back in March, with mixed results.

Czechia and Poland were always likely to cruise through Group E, with Albania their most-likely threat, so a win here would held establish the Pol’s position of superiority.
Serghei Cleșcenco’s team’s mini-unbeaten streak then came to an end on Saturday, with his side beaten 2-0 by Albania at Arena Kombëtare.
The Tricolorii did end 2022 with three consecutive Nations League D victories but, in terms of qualifiers, Moldova are now winless in 20, dating back to a 1-0 home win over Andorra almost exactly four years ago.
So, it would be an almighty upset if Poland didn’t leave Stadionul Zimbru with a routine win.
Moldova team news
Dorian Răilean will continue to deputise in goal with Alexei Koșelev out injured.
Experienced centre-back Igor Armaș is also sidelined, so Vadim Rață will captain the side.
Ion Nicolaescu is their main goal threat, having bagged his tenth goal for Moldova on matchday one.
Poland team news
Fernando Santos put out a very strong side for Friday’s famous friendly win over Germany, so not too many changes are expected.
The game was partially used to celebrate Jakub Błaszczykowski’s career, with the 37 year old having now retired from international football.
Robert Lewandowski is still going strong though; his 78 goals for Poland have been scored against 35 different opponents, hoping to add Moldova, Faroe Islands and Czechia to that list during the rest of 2023.
Karol Świderski, who scored the winner against Albania, could be chosen as Lewandowski’s partner, with Arkadiusz Milik out of form and Krzysztof Piątek out of favour.
Midfielder Kacper Kozłowski, who’s on the book at Brighton, and Matty Cash of Aston Villa are out injured.
